A sample of what we've made
These are homes around the harbour town and neighbouring villages where we've fitted wardrobes, hung sash windows, built kitchens and staircases. Every piece is made to order in our workshop, fitted to the specific room, and finished by hand.
Fitted wardrobes
Corner wardrobe in ash
Built in ash for a sloped ceiling in a Victorian terrace. The frame steps with the roof line to fit the room exactly rather than fighting against it.
Alcove wardrobe in oak
An awkward alcove in a terraced cottage became a bespoke storage solution. Fitted panels in oak, finished with a soft close door that won't bang in the night.
Walk-in wardrobe in ash
A larger project: a full walk-in built in ash with adjustable shelving and a proper rail system. Made on site, fitted to millimetre tolerances.
Kitchen units
Oak kitchen in a period cottage
A kitchen made to order in oak, fitted into a cottage where no two walls are quite parallel. Hand-finished handles and plenty of solid wood inside the doors.
Ash kitchen with island
Built in ash, with a central island for prep and a proper breakfast bar. Every measurement taken on site, every panel fit checked before it left the workshop.
Open shelving in oak
A mix of open shelving and closed base units in oak, designed to suit a narrow galley kitchen and maximise light from the window.
Staircases
Oak staircase with half landing
A full staircase in oak, built to order for a terraced house with a half landing. Hand-turned newels and a proper bannister, all fitted and finished on site.
Ash staircase replacement
A replacement staircase in ash, fitted to the exact dimensions of an older house where the original had become unsafe. Built and installed in the space without altering the structure.
Spiral stair in oak
A spiral staircase in oak, fitted to a tight space in a converted warehouse. Every step cut and shaped by hand to fit the spiral exactly.
Sash window restorations
Victorian sash restoration
A Victorian sash window on a terraced house by the docks: restored frames, replaced cords and weights, new glazing bars cut to match the original profile.
Georgian sash pair
Two Georgian sashes on a period townhouse. The original frames were sound but the glazing bars had rotted. We rebuilt them in oak to the original dimensions and glazed with modern glass.
Sash window draught-sealing
A carefully draught-sealed sash on a period property. We fitted the seals discretely inside the frame so the window looks untouched from outside but performs properly in winter.
